DMN Communications unveils updated Web siteNovember 12, 2007 |
DMN Communications today unveiled its updated Web site. The re-designed site, according to DMN's principals, reflects the changes in the company over the last few months.
"We're constantly evolving," said DMN's Aaron Davis. "This version of our site, the third one in fact, reflects that evolution."
The site's design is based on a template created by British Web design firm Site Creative. DMN's Scott Nesbitt modified the template and added PHP elements to enable easy automation and updates to the variable content. The photographs in the banners of many of the pages were taken by Aaron Davis.
"Both Aaron and I are strong supporters of Open Source software," said Nesbitt. "But we're also grateful to sites like Open Source Web Design for making high quality templates like the one we use available. It demonstrates that the Open Source concept works not only for software, but for other works as well."
Davis adds: "We also have to thank our Web hosting company, DreamHost. It would have been much more difficult to add some of the new features to the site if DreamHost didn't provide some already-installed infrastructure for us to use."
