Scott Nesbitt to speak at FSOSS 2010 August 17, 2010

DMN Communications is pleased to announce that Scott Nesbitt will be presenting at the Free Software and Open Source Symposium (FSOSS) 2010 in Toronto on October 29, 2010.

"It's going to be a busy week!" says DMN's Scott Nesbitt, who will not only be giving two talks at the symposium but will also be working on a FLOSS Manuals book sprint that same week. "I had a great time at FSOSS 2009, and it's great to be able to connect with the Open Source community in this way."

Nesbitt adds "Attending FSOSS is a great way not only to teach, but also to learn. As in previous years, there's a great line up of speakers and a number of interesting topics."

Nesbitt's talks are:

• FLOSS Manuals: Too Good to Be Free, an overview of the FLOSS Manuals project and a post-mortem o f the FLOSS Manuals book sprint
• Thinking Outside the Book: Wikis for Writing and Delivering Documentation, a look at how to use wikis to create and deliver documentation

About FSOSS: An annual event held at the Seneca Centre for Development of Open Technology, FSOSS brings together industry, developers, educators and others to discuss and learn about Open Source, the, open Web, and academic/industry partnerships.
